Peanut butter and banana are always a winning combination. There are so many ways to enjoy the two and one of my favorites is in the form of a smoothie.
This shake is loaded with tons of protein, fiber, and omega-3 fatty acids from the peanut butter, protein powder, hemp and ground flax seed! Both hemp and flax seeds alike are proven to reduce the risk of certain types of cancers. Enjoying this smoothie after a workout would be great because hemp seeds are also wonderful at improving muscle recovery.
This recipe is 100% neutropenic friendly!
Peanut Butter + Banana Protein Shake
(Makes 1 Serving)
3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 organic banana
2 Tbs peanut butter
1 scoop vegan vanilla protein powder
2 Tbs ground flax seed
2 Tbs hemp seed
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp cinnamon
a few ice cubes
1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
